Изменения в авиасообщении между Россией и Кубой из-за нехватки авиатоплива

Due to the lack of aviation fuel on Cuba, which the Cuban government attributes to a U.S. oil blockade, the «Aeroflot» group has adjusted its flight schedule to the island. Some hotels in Cuba are temporarily closed, and affected tourists are being relocated to higher-category accommodations at no extra cost. The country anticipates significant fuel shortages, impacting all international airports from February 10 to March 11, including major hubs like Havana and Varadero. Russian airlines, including «Russia» and Nordwind, are modifying their flight programs. The Moscow-Havana flight SU 6849 has been canceled for February 9. Local tour operators are awaiting guidance from the Cuban tourism ministry. Transfers from hotels to the Havana airport have been postponed until 07:00 AM local time. Additionally, several tourists missed their flights to Cuba, and alternative travel arrangements are being explored. The hotel sector is adapting to the declining tourist influx, with some accommodations temporarily closing while guests are moved to others with better facilities. As of now, there are between 4,200 to 4,700 Russian tourists in Cuba, with tour operators maintaining communication with local partners amid fuel-related uncertainties.
